I attended TDX Manchester Expo recently at Manchester Central.
After a really interesting conversation at a stand, where I gave a lot of buying signals, the booth rep just asked me, "Can I scan your badge...someone will get back to you"....what?
It seems that exhibitors are really losing the essence of what exhibiting is about and getting lazy. Here I am, an interested prospect and instead of immediately booking a meeting in the calendar to discuss my needs, all I get is "Can I scan your badge...".
I think it is time to ban this phrase from the booth staff vocabulary. Who's with me on this?
